In this very first podcast on fumcstudents.org, Pastor Kris asks a compelling question: "What areas in your life is God asking you to raise the bar?"  Let's face it, we are only 2 weeks away from the end of another school year.  A good percentage of us are struggling with spring fever and we're ready for summer.  But, now is not the time to slack off and become complacent, it's time to focus and finish the school year off as strong as we can.  How about other areas: family, work, or your relationship with Christ?  Are you thriving, or just doing the bare minimum to get by?  Whatever is it, we need to do things in excellence - with all of our hearts as if we were doing it for the Lord!

In this second podcast on fumcstudents.org, Pastor Kris takes a look into the commissioning of Joshua, found in the first chapter of the book of Joshua.  It's interesting to note how God himself confirmed the call of Joshua with the very words that Moses used when Joshua was summoned back in Deuteronomy chapter 31.  The words shared with Joshua can be applied to our own lives as we step out in the roles of leadership that God calls us to even today.  We too need to be strong and courageous, and walk in obedience to God's Word.  As we grow in God's Word and strive to live it out each and every day, then He will prosper our way and lead us to success!  Be blessed by this podcast.
